Last night, Luke Humphries beat Jonny Clayton to set up a semi-final clash with Ryan Joyce tonight.
In the other last-4 clash, Mike De Decker takes on Dimitri Van den Bergh for a spot in tomorrow’s huge final.

Bookies favourite
Luke Humphries is now the hot odds-on favourite at 4/9 with BoyleSports to successfully defend his World Grand Prix title ahead of an all-English semi-final clash in Leicester against Ryan Joyce.
De Decker is rated the most likely to deny Humphries another major televised title as the 9/2 second favourite ahead of 11/2 shot Dimitri Van den Bergh, while Ryan Joyce goes into this evening’s semi-finals as the rank outsider at 12/1.
Pikachu reflects on debut
Ricardo Pietreczko reached the last 16 on his Grand Prix debut but revealed he was aiming for bigger things.
He said after the defeat: “Of course, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t have liked to have got further. Nevertheless, I’m quite happy with my performance and the result.
“The match against Luke in particular was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next Players Championship tournaments.”
Anderson shows class in defeat
Gary Anderson showed class in defeat at the World Grand Prix after being ousted by Mike De Decker, who had feared a thrashing from the darts legend.
Straight after the match, the Flying Scotsman showed his sportsmanship by applauding De Decker, followed by a heartfelt hug between the pair.
Post-match, De Decker chuckled as he confessed: “Honestly, I thought he was going to batter me.
“I was here four hours up front [before the match]. In the first two or three hours I wasn’t hitting a thing. I was thinking, ‘it can only go better from here’. I’m happy it did on stage.”
Victory for Greaves
Beau Greaves took the title at the women’s tournament at the WDF World Open against Rhian O’Sullivan on Friday night.
In the final, the 20-year-old triumphed 5-0 against her rival from Wales.
Greaves reached the semifinals of the World Open in the Hungarian capital Budapest after wins over Maja Bebic (4-0), Oana Cimpoca (4-0), Kelly Streef (4-0), Rachna David (4-0) and Anneke Kuijten (4-1).
Then ‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow’ gave a master class by defeating Kosuzu Iwao 4-0 with an average of 113.43. And in the final against O’Sullivan Greaves did not concede a leg either.
Prize money
All participating players are guaranteed £7500 in starting money. Second-round losers receive £15,000.
The quarter-finalists go home with at least £25,000, the semi-finalists almost one and a half times as much (£40,000).
The losing finalist receives a check for £60,000 and the winner receives the grand prize of £120,000.
When do the semi-finals start?
Sky Sports will begin their coverage of the evening’s action at 6pm with the first match set to start at 7:30pm.
The final will then take place at 8:00pm on Sunday.
Humphries a bag of nerves
Luke Humphries revealed he was a bag of nerves as he took on Jonny Clayton in the quarter-final.
He said: “”That’s probably the most nervous I’ve felt in a long, long time.
“It’s really not like me, but maybe I’m trying too hard. It was a really tough game. Jonny was unlucky there – he probably could have had the third set but that 146 changed everything.
“I feel really good and my game’s in a good place so I won’t take any negatives; I’ve won and that’s it.
“I’ll go into tomorrow in a confident mood – I know I can do it when it matters most.”
Belgian buzzing to be here
Dimitri van den Bergh is delighted to be in teh semi-final after swattting aside James Wade but he is not thinking about winning it yet.
He said: “I’m buzzing, I’m ecstatic. I’m really happy I’m in the semi-finals of a major.
“I’m not thinking about it, no chance. Tomorrow is another game and we will see from there but I’m not dreaming about anything.”
Joyce on Humphries test
Luke Humphries looks like the man to beat once again this year but Ryan Joyce is confident he will be the man to do it.
He said of his semi-final opponent: “Luke is not just a good player, he’s maybe a generational player – but over this format I feel I can equal him and I’m going to try my best.”
‘This it the competition for me’
Ryan Joyce is full of confidene after ditching his Rob Cross voodoo to reach the Grand Prix semi-finals.
He said following his victory: “The match was topsy-turvy and every time I felt like I got ahead, Rob would throw a great leg. He’s a class player.
“I always felt like this is the competition for me. I’ve played darts for so many years and I don’t feel under pressure.
“Rob told me when we were chatting, about his record. Yeah, maybe it was an attempt at mind games, but things like that go over my head.
“I don’t tend to concentrate on things like that.”
