JUST IN: Here are the 48 players vying for £175,000 in prize money at St. Jakobshalle in the penultimate European Tour event of the year on September 27–29.
The top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit and the 16 highest ranked players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit, who are seeded in the draw, automatically qualify for the tournament, which is the first PDC ranking event to be held in Switzerland.
Ten more players qualified through the qualifying event for Tour Card holders, in addition to four qualifiers from Host Nation, one from Nordic & Baltic, and one from East Europe.
The top seed, Dave Chisnall, is attempting to win a third title on the European Tour this year. The number two seed, Ross Smith, is ranked ahead of Luke Humphries, the current world champion.
In addition to the Premier League winner Luke Littler, the seeded group also includes former world champions Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, and Gerwyn Price.
Former World Champions Michael Smith, Peter Wright, and Raymond van Barneveld, along with former major winners Nathan Aspinall, Jonny Clayton, and James Wade, are among the Order of Merit Qualifiers.
Jim Williams and Ian White from the Reserve List have taken the place of Michael van Gerwen and Ryan Joyce, who withdrew from the competition.
The best-of-11 format will be used for all matches up to and including the Quarterfinals, the best-of-13 format for the Semifinals, and the best-of-15 format for the Final.September 27th, Friday
