There’s no doubt that the Cleveland Browns, throughout their history, may be the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL-not because of their fans, who are plentiful, but because of the team’s questionable decision-making, especially their latest ones, like giving away Baker Mayfield and guaranteeing $230 million to Deshaun Watson.

Since their return in 1999, the Cleveland Browns had only four winning seasons up to the 2024 season. In Baker Mayfield’s case, he gave them their first playoff win in 26 years in 2021, but after one injury-plagued season, they discarded him to bring in Watson, who has been a complete disaster.

The Browns have a Head Coach like Kevin Stefanski, a two-time Coach of the Year, but he seems to be gradually getting frustrated with everything surrounding the Browns franchise. One example is the selection of Shedeur Sanders in the recent Draft.

The Cleveland Browns selected Dillon Gabriel in the third round of the recent Draft, a decision made by Head Coach Kevin Stefanski. Then, two rounds later, the Browns made the strange decision to select Shedeur Sanders, which sparked a lot of controversy.

Garrett Bush, a radio host in Cleveland, hinted that Stefanski wanted to develop Dillon Gabriel, but GM Andrew Berry may already be thinking about targeting a talent like Arch Manning in 2026.

“I think Kevin Stefanski picked Dillon Gabriel. There you have it,” said Bush. “So guess what? Now you’re at a standstill, right? Because suddenly, Andrew Berry is betting that ‘We won’t be good next year. I’m trading these picks and going after Arch Manning. That’s my move.’ Then Kevin Stefanski is like, ‘I’m going to find my own quarterback and show what I can do with him,’” added Bush.

Bush mentioned that Stefanski and Berry have completely different visions for the team, which could lead to a firing if the relationship breaks down-if it hasn’t already. And so, once again, the Cleveland Browns are doing what they’ve been doing since 1999.
